1 dead after crash on E. 5th Street; driver turns self in

The Cincinnati Police Division says 1 individual has died just after a crash Saturday night in the 300 block of E. 5th Street.Police say a 2008 Dodge Avenger was touring southbound on Sycamore Road when it was hit by a 2017 Chevy Malibu, which was touring East 5th Road.Officials say the driver of the Malibu fled the scene but the passenger of the motor vehicle, Yahdea Brown, sustained major accidents and was transported to the College of Cincinnati Healthcare Center, exactly where she later on died.Cincinnati police say the driver of the Malibu, 36-12 months-outdated Shalom Jones, turned himself into police and has been charged with aggravated vehicular murder and leaving the scene of an accident.Authorities say the driver and passenger of the Avenger were taken to the clinic and treated for non-everyday living-threatening accidents.Any witnesses to the crash are questioned to call CPD’s Targeted traffic Unit at 513-352-2514.

Authorities say the driver and passenger of the Avenger were taken to the hospital and addressed for non-everyday living-threatening accidents.
